For Adobe Illustrator (.ai) artwork submissions, all fonts should be converted to outlines before submission to avoid font compatibility issues during production.
If fonts are not properly outlined, the artwork may display differently on another computer or production system, which can cause:
- missing text
- font replacement
- spacing changes
- layout shifting
- printing errors
How To Convert Fonts To Outlines In Adobe Illustrator
Adobe Illustrator Steps
- Open your artwork in Adobe Illustrator
- Select all text in your artwork
- Click:
- Type → Create Outlines
- Save the final artwork before submission
Shortcut Key
Windows : Shift + Ctrl + O
Mac : Shift + Command + O
Important Notes
Once fonts are converted to outlines:
- text will no longer be editable
- fonts become vector shapes
- missing font issues can be avoided during printing
We strongly recommend keeping your own editable backup copy before outlining fonts.
Files submitted without outlined fonts may:
- require additional artwork processing
- require font replacement handling
- cause layout differences during production
If submitted files contain missing fonts or unsupported font issues, the company reserves the right to:
- request file resubmission
- replace fonts with similar alternatives
- proceed using available system fonts where necessary
The company shall not be responsible for artwork differences caused by non-outlined fonts supplied by customers.
